Workshop on "Building Strong Tourism Destinations", 6-7 June 2024 in Vienna
The event was organised in cooperation with OECD and brought together actors across government and tourism destinations to discuss actions to diversify tourism and build stronger, more sustainable and resilient destinations.
It considered effective approaches to multilevel governance structures with co-operation across all levels and relevant sectors as well as the need for a stronger evidence-base for decision-making. Participants exchanged views and experiences on the development of strategies, programmes and initiatives to strengthen destinations. Two keynote speakers and sixteen panelists contributed to the event in two sessions, their presentations can be downloaded below.
